The main task of the spiral-prismatic packing (SPN) is to provide the maximum possible contact area between vapor and liquid. This happens when driving mash or raw alcohol, when the vapors rise up, heat the strengthening column of the apparatus. Having reached the reflux condenser, vapors (at least some of them) condense on the walls of the cooling tubes. The steam turns into reflux (a mixture of alcohol and water) and falls down onto the packing (SPN). Phlegm spreads over the nozzle and is immediately met with very hot steam. It is at this moment that the separation and strengthening of the alcohol-containing liquid occurs: low-boiling molecules pass into steam, high-boiling ones - into reflux.In production, the spiral-prismatic nozzle (SPN) is cleaned of technical contaminants, washed, sifted from small springs and wire shavings.
The nozzle is made of certified stainless wire of 12Х18Н10Т (AISI 321) and 08Х18Н10 (AISI 304) brands, 0,25 mm thick.
ATTENTION: Before loading the SPN into the column, for the final removal of residual oil and dust, it is necessary to boil the stainless SPN with a washing solution or with soda.
